Summer and Fall Farmstand Share
June-October The Farm Stand is open Tuesday’s and Friday’s from 8am-8pm. Self Serve. Deliveries are also available on Tuesday’s. A Farm Stand CSA is available in several formats for your summer convenience. Many folks dabble in their own garden or travel a lot in the summer so a regular CSA may be hard to fit in a busy schedule. Why join our farm stand share? Because we have hi tunnels and season extenders we will often have items like tomatoes, eggplant, greens, etc earlier and later than a home gardner. By joining the farm stand share you can also buy as much or as little as you would like on any given week. This leaves you the opportunity to go on vacation and not miss out on a paid share. And by joining the share you will receive a share savings.
- Farm Stand Share per $100 pre-purchase you receive $110 worth of food
Shares must be purchased by May 1st with full payment. Please send payments to

Winter CSA Share
Eat like a farmer, all winter long! In the deep, dark winter months our family relishes biting into a crisp spinach salad or cracking open a jar of carrot-tomato soup. We want to share that with YOU! Using our Vermont summer harvest and season extension High Tunnels we provide a copious amount of “stored farm goods”. The Vermont tradition of storage ranges from cellaring, freezing, canning, fermenting and holding in the Hi-Tunnels.
The Share period starts Tuesday October 11 and ends February 7. Shares are distributed every other week for a total of 10 deliveries. Share comes with one unique prepared dish, usually something that can be reheated easily (egg rolls, spanikopita, empanadas, sun dried tomato polenta). The prepared dish should feed two adults as part of a meal or 4 people as a side dish or tasting.
Regular share is adequate for 2 adults with small children
Large share is adequate for a family of 5
We have payment plans and work-trade opportunities available.
Regular Shares are priced at $650 ( $65 for two weeks of food) and the Large Share is priced at $950 ($95 for two weeks of more food). Shares can be picked up at a Kenyon’s Hardware Store in Northfield, Roger’s Farmstead in Berlin or Roxbury every other Tuesday from 3 pm to 6 pm.
** NEW this year–all food items will be delivered in one box–no more coolers to root through. All items will be in one box that you pick up and take with you (you will need to remember to return them each share). A freezer bag for frozen items will be placed in the box and dinner items will be in glass–no more aluminum containers. We are asking for a deposit, a separate check ($40/reg share and $60/large share) that will encourage you to return the items at the end of the share season.
A deposit of $100 will hold your spot OR pay in full by October 1st and save $10. Remaining Payments can be made in three installments of
$285 plus a separate $40 check payable by October 1 ($185 if already paid deposit), (Large Share add $100, plus a $60 separate check) $182.50 payable by December 1 (Large Share add $100) $182.50 payable by January 1 (Large Share add $100)
If using the above Payment Plan, ALL POST-DATED CHECKS MUST BE SENT TOGETHER, we will cash the checks on the payable date
An early Share may look like this (example only)
fresh Swiss chard, head lettuce, spinach, carrots, broccoli, onions, pie pumpkin, frozen berries, frozen basil pesto, Carrot-Ginger Eggrolls with Sweet and Sour Sauce
A mid-winter Share may look like this (example only)
Asian greens, salad mix, winter radishes, green cabbage, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, winter squash, garlic, leeks, frozen corn, pickles, Spanikopita
A late winter Share may look like this (example only)
spinach, pea shoots, red cabbage, beets, carrots, shallots, sweet potatoes, dried tomatoes, frozen broccoli, blueberry jam, Sweet Potato Empanadas
This is a great value for the money! It looks like a LOT of food and it is. BUT. We help you plan how to use it so that you systematically get through it all in two weeks without waste and it doesn’t mean huge nights in the kitchen! Fresh greens first. Save your prepared dish for a night when you really need it as it can be frozen. Work through the storage veggies as time permits as they aren’t going anywhere. You will feel good about what you are eating!
** New this year, you can substitute extra veggies for the dinner portion of each week-must sign up for this at the beginning of the season!
Add on share options (discounted only for CSA members)
Additional add-ons –Beef and Pork
Beef is two packages of ground beef per share week at 1 lb per package
Pork is two packages about 1 lb. each and they will vary each share week and will consist of ground pork, sausage, bacon, pork chops, ham steaks and more.
This year the beef is in collaboration with Kenyon’s in Waitsfield, we share a bull and have common ethics and practices in raising animals and find it to be a great working relationship with our Highlander cows–superior, lean, healthy, pasture raised beef!
Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions! To sign-up please email us your contact info choose your options as well as any other information such as vegetarian, nut-free, etc. We will contact you to let you know what is owed and we can also work with you for a custom payment plan for large orders.
